Spink Shreves has a well-earned reputation for selling rare and premium quality United States stamps and postal history, but we also sell more foreign stamps and postal history than any other American auction house. Our upcoming July 2009 Collector's Series Sale is a perfect example of an auction that will excite collectors and dealers of both U.S. and foreign material.

Spink Shreves July 2009 Collector's Series Sale features:

  • The Robert B. Geary Collection of United States Postage Stamps - A comprehensive collection of 19th and 20th Century United States stamps, highlighted by a specialized collection of the 1851 One Cent Franklin.
  • The H. Jeffrey Brahin Collection of Spectacular Mint Stamps - 19th and 20th Century United States stamps - all of which were selected for their marvelous centering and enormous margins - many are accompanied by graded "Jumbo" certificates.
  • The Estate of Alfred S. Howes - Sold by order of the U.S. Trust Company. An old-time collection featuring United States rarities, as well as valuable United States and Worldwide collections.
  • The James K. Stewart Collection - Gem mint never hinged 20th Century United States stamps, many of which have been assigned extremely high numeric "graded" certificates.
  • Highly Graded Canada Stamps - Featuring extraordinary quality mint "Admirals" with PF certificates grading 95 or 98
  • Classic British Empire Rarities - Selections from a lifelong collection containing many rarely seen mint 19th Century stamps, nearly all accompanied by recent certificates.
